Yvonne Strahovski, who plays Lana Summers
Lana Summers was a companion of The Tenth Doctor in the Doctor Who: The Further Adventures special Countdown to Destruction.
History[]
Lana was born and raised in Australia. At some point in her life she was drafted in to the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (ASIS) where is she now regarded as one of the world's top spies.
Meeting The Doctor[]
Lana was trying to track down her spy partner in London on New Year's Eve, 2010. She had gathered information that an item called The Polodian Helix was linked to his disappearance. She infiltrated the facility in which it was held only to find The Doctor stood in the room where it should have been. After a brief confrontation, she believed he didn't have and together they escaped and with the help of MI6 and an agent from the British Order Agency (BOA), Daniel Burton, they hunt the Helix down and stop the Veil from using it to destroy the planet. After, she doesn't join the Doctor as she can sense that he's hurting (from the events of The Zygon Masterplan) and she also has a duty to find her spy partner.
After The Doctor[]
After her adventure, she did find her spy partner lost and confused after he was taken over by The Veil but subsequently left so it could take over a different host. She left ASIS and joined UNIT along with Daniel Burton. She is said to now be based in the UK (The Raven)

- Yvonne Strahovski, who plays Lana, is probably best known for her role in the American television series Chuck where she also plays a spy, Sarah Walker.
